An innovative manufacturer, he introduced affordable diesel pushers to the industry. He created the electronic “magic bed” that rose to the ceiling to greatly expand the living space in his smaller coaches. His use of side-aisle floor plans opened the door for a wide variety of interior designs. His introduction of automatic awnings was a well received convenience for RVers. Identified as an industry rebel for his unconventional approach to the industry, he was honored as the 1994 RV Industry Executive of the Year.
