He is a respected member of the MHI Board and Chairman of MHI Communities Council, Northeast MHA, New England MHA and the seven state associations in states where he has communities. He was the National Community Operator of the Year in 2000. He led the successful campaign to get manufactured housing treated as real estate in Connecticut and New Hampshire where it is now deeded and taxed as all other real estate. Has received recognition for the best land-lease community in the nation in both the over 150 sites, and under 150 sites classes. His company manages over 4,500 manufactured housing sites.

Pete is a long time industry executive and promoter having developed several companies. Starting in 1996, he built his current company through development and acquisition into the nation’s largest manufacturer of towable RVs and Elkhart County’s largest employer, providing jobs for over 6,500 workers. He has, for many years, been an imaginative entrepreneur and active cheerleader for the RV industry. He is most publicly recognized for building his company into the industry’s largest privately owned manufacturer and selling it to Warren Buffett, bringing the prestige of Berkshire Hathaway into the RV industry

Dick was a long-term industry promoter and board member of the Michigan MH and RV Association. He has been a principal in the founding and development of 10 different RV and housing manufacturers. He built his RV dealership into the largest in the state of Michigan and the largest in the country at one time. He worked diligently providing leadership to the marketing and public relations efforts of promotional shows throughout Michigan

Susan Bray

Sue has for 30 years lead the RV industry’s largest RV consumer organization. Under her leadership, the club has grown from 200,000 members to over one million today. She has served for 25 years on the board of directors for the American Recreation Coalition, and on the advisory board for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Scenic Byways program. For 25 years she has been a valued collaborator with the RVIA Legal Affairs Staff. She was a key promoter representing RV users on the Take Pride in America program to increase volunteer service on public lands that has been adopted by the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management. She was awarded the coveted RVIA Legislative Award in 1990. Her enthusiasm, imagination and personal involvement have helped make the RV lifestyle what it is today.

Kevin has been named the Manufactured Housing Institute’s Industry Person of the Year 3 times. He has long served on the MHI Board of Directors and Executive Committee and on the HUD Code Regulatory Reform Task Force. He is the leader of what has been identified as the most dynamic team in the housing industry. He was the leader of the sale of his company to Berkshire Hathaway giving an enormous credibility boost to the industry. Under his leadership, his company has grown to 38 home building facilities and 454 model home centers.
